Question - Trade Association Article

A university vice president prepares and presents a paper at a regional conference of administrators and deans entitled "The Development and Retention of Effective Adjunct Instructors." Although her colleagues are aware that she has written the paper, none of them has reviewed or edited her work. After her presentation, a conference attendee approaches the vice president. The attendee is an editor for a national publication on higher education issues and wants permission to reprint the article in an upcoming issue of her publication. The editor agrees to send the vice president a letter confirming publication terms, along with a copyright release form. The vice president wonders whether she is the right person to sign the release form. She is the author of the paper and she wrote it without assistance from anyone else, but she also wrote it during working hours and had her assistant type and format it.
