Question - - Student/Professor Collaboration

A member of the faculty has just received notice that she is receiving an award at a national conference for a recently published research article. She has been asked to present her paper at the conference, but will have limited time within which to present. While discussing the matter with one of her students who is familiar with the research paper, the student offers to put together a PowerPoint presentation for the faculty member to use at the conference. When the student emails the presentation to the faculty member, however, the faculty member notices that the student has put both the faculty member's name and the student's name on a copyright notice on the first PowerPoint slide. The faculty member doesn't believe the student is entitled to be included on the copyright notice, after all she did all the research and is the one receiving the award. She can just delete the student's name from the slide, can't she?
