Question - Poetry Slam

A student working as an administrative assistant in the English Department has recently become involved in "poetry slam" competitions. She writes poems outside of working hours, although if she gets an idea for a poem while working, she quickly jots the idea down in a notebook she carries to help remind her later when she has time to write. She has done well in several competitions, even winning a few, and the faculty members in the English Department love hearing about the competitions. In fact, on several occasions, they have asked her to perform her poems for them during working hours, offering her suggestions as to how to revise or improve several poems. The student considers these poems her personal work, despite the involvement of the faculty members and her note taking during working hours. Are they?
