Question - Land and Water Consortium
A number of agricultural and science students from several
area colleges, junior colleges and a university have joined
together to form a consortium to develop a plan for land and
water use for the local farming community. Upon completion
of the plan, the consortium plans on delivering information
to farmers via a number of means, including a website, informational
pamphlets, and an outreach office that will be staffed by
students from the participating colleges and university. The
consortium does not intend to generate revenue from these
activities, but questions already have arisen with regard
to which of the institutions may post the land and water use
plan on their official school websites; which individual consortium
members will be able to present and distribute consortium
materials at conferences; and which individual consortium
members, if any, will be able to use consortium materials
for independent study credit in their degree programs. What
rules apply?
